WASRG Annual Membership Meeting & Luncheon Featuring Greg Schultz
Please join WASRG for our rescheduled 2016 Annual Membership Meeting and Guest Speaker Luncheon on Thursday, February 4 from 12:00 – 1:30 PM at The Hamilton.
We will elect our new officers and Board Members during the business portion of the meeting and congratulate those Board Members and officers who are finishing their service to WASRG.
In addition, we hope that Greg Schultz, the Senior Advisor to Vice President Joe Biden and Special Assistant to President Barack Obama, will be able to join us as our guest speaker. He will discuss the close relationship between the Executive Branch and state and local governments and the key role the local governments play in influencing and directing change at the federal level. Prior to holding his current position, Mr. Schultz served as the Executive Director at Business Forward; an organization dedicated to connecting businesses across the country with the White House and federal-level economic development opportunities. In this role he facilitated opportunities for American business leaders to advise leadership in Washington on job creation and accelerating the country’s economic recovery.
Mr. Schultz previously served as the State Director for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in Ohio and served as the Ohio Deputy Political Director for the Obama campaign in 2008 and the Political Director for Hillary Clinton’s Primary Campaign in Ohio. Before joining the Obama campaign, he was the legislative liaison in the Department of Administrative Services for Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. Additionally, he served as an Executive Assistant to the Governor, overseeing the Bureau of Workers Compensation, Rehabilitation and Corrections, Youth Services and Veterans Affairs. He has also managed a number of local and statewide-level campaigns across Ohio.
