ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Rep. Michael Carbone represents Arizona’s 25th Legislative District and serves as House Majority Leader. A U.S. Air Force veteran and small business owner, he was first elected to the legislature in 2022 and, since assuming a leadership role in January 2025, plays a central role in developing and advancing the House’s policy agenda.
In the 2025 session, Rep. Carbone sponsored legislation related to energy, housing, employment, and election policy. His proposals have included measures to streamline permitting for small modular nuclear reactors near data centers, establish statewide standards for accessory dwelling units to expand housing options, and adjust unemployment benefits. He has also introduced legislation addressing health-care eligibility oversight and electioneering regulations, and has been active in discussions around state water policy and its impact on housing development.
