As America approaches its 250th birthday, join WASRG for a special luncheon to kick off the celebration. Mike Johnson, Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, will share fascinating stories behind some of the museum’s most iconic and unexpected artifacts, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how these pieces of American history were acquired, preserved, and brought to life for the public.

The conversation will also explore the role museums play during moments of national reflection, the value of preserving our shared heritage, and the partnerships that help connect organizations, industries, and communities to the American story.
